We have raised purebred and crossbred Santa Gertrudis cattle for over 30 years.
The "Gerts" are an All-American breed, established on the King Ranch in Texas.
They are a 5/8 Shorthorn, 3/8 Braham cross.
We can trace the lineage of our herd back many, many generations. We are very proud of the type of cow we raise.
We value our Gerts for their excellent mothering abilites, adaptation to our Southern climate, and wonderful beef.
We are currently using a purebred Santa Gertrudis bull named, Boris Bad-Enough in an effort to increase our herd size.
Boris is out of the Dan Wint line in Texas.
We also use Black Angus bulls on all of our heifers and offer crossbred (F1) heifers for sale annually.
